Wonderful experience with my family today! According to my Dad, this was the greatest customer service experience he's ever had at Outback. Well done to the waitress and waiter...you know who you are and what you did. Keep up the phenomenal work!

Just not what it used to be! I remember 15 years ago just being so in love with Outback! As I grew my culinary pallet over the years and strayed from the chain restaurants, you occasionally wonder back to those gems that you have fond memories of!
How can you not go with the famed Blooming Onion?! It was everything I remember! From that distinctive batter and wonderful dipping sauce, it was everything I'd ever remembered! The Alice Springs Chicken was exactly as I'd remembered in taste as well! Perfectly cooked chicken breast, great melted cheese, flavorful bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and one of the best honey mustard sauces ever made! The problem is that the price of $16.99 for one thin chicken breast, that used to be breasts, is insanely priced! Bacon added to a burger is about $1.50. So the chicken breast, "one", is worthy of costing $15.50?? The margarita sampler is undrinkable! Like most chain restaurants these type drinks are so incredibly sweet that they lose sight of making a perfectly crafted and balanced drink.
Though I thoroughly enjoyed the Blooming Onion, it made me realize even more why the independent restaurants are winning the war with the big chains and we're slowly seeing them die! -

Overall. I would honestly give this place about a 3.5. Overall. It is a chain restaurant. It's an Outback. Generally you know what that means. But this is a much better example of an Outback done right then other places I've been.
The worst things I can the meal came with a soup, but it was out. They asked if we wanted to switch to one of the other two soups they had available. Which we did, but when the check came it turns out there was a surcharge to "upgrade" soups. ... if you're out of the only soup that doesn't cost to upgrade, you probably shouldn't charge us for having to pick an option we wanted less.
Other than that, the prices are high but reasonable (only complaint being it's that generic food that caters to the masses and has no actual unique flavor) and the service was nice and friendly. Kudos to the wait staff despite having a bustling environment where things get overlooked. (They ran out of silverware and brought us plastic utensils until later in the meal when some more came out.)
It does seem the drinks can be pretty reasonably priced here, if that makes a difference. Ha ha -

Ordered the center cut sirloin with lobster and broccoli on side. Both were nicely cooked and flavorful. The broccoli was still on stalks which I think should be cut off as most people don't like the stalks. Overall good service and our wait person was attentive. First time I've eaten here since they remodeled the inside, looks nice.

Don't do it!! The only Outback in Winston-Salem and they have truly lost their appeal. Temperatures of steaks are not consistent. Waitress was horrible!!!! I had to get up and get my own water. When we were seated it took someone 7 minutes to acknowledge our presence!!
